Marston’s Beer Company has an exciting opportunity for an individual to manage the brand sales performance for Kirin in the UK. The role will suit an individual who can demonstrate a successful background of account management, negotiation skills and people leadership in a premium drinks/beer category.

The Role

  • Full brand sales responsibility for the Kirin brand within a range of complex customers across the on and off trade.
  • Drive distribution and volume targets in line with the brand positioning as a super-premium brand
  • Build solid working relationships with marketing and sales functions, a high level of drive and tenacity to unlock growth collaboratively.
  • Lead two direct reports and coach and motivate them to deliver KPIs
  • Build a strong relationship with the brand owner at Kirin Europe.
  • Complete all administration in a timely and accurate manner
  • Consistently deliver a market out-performance in premium world lager through great customer relationships and exceptional communication and selling skills
  • Responsible for a strong sales pipeline that will deliver the next phase of our brand growth
  • Working within the Commercial Marketing function you will work in a matrix environment to open up and deliver growth across all sales channels. Therefore a flex in style and ability to cut through at all levels and with all customer types is critical.

The Ideal candidate

  • Be of graduate calibre or equivalent
  • Understanding of how to build premium brands
  • Either experience of people management or as high potential as a people leader
  • Have strong commercial awareness, with the ability to assess complex challenges and deliver solutions
  • Demonstrate success in dealing with account management and brand P&L responsibility
  • Be a first class communicator, with outstanding selling and negotiating skills
  • Be determined and focused on achieving consistently outstanding results
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the beer category and be able to formulate sales strategies through a category led, consultative customer approach
  • Demonstrate good networking skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform and excel in a fast-paced and high-achieving team environment
  • Flexible to travel throughout the UK
