Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Profit Protection Team as a field based operative reporting directly to the Senior Profit Protection & Compliance Manager.
 
As a Profit Protection Manager you will be expected to conduct financial audits and carry out investigations with a goal of maximising profitability within Marston’s pub estate. The remit is to reduce cash discrepancies, highlight fraud/theft and provide actionable information to stakeholders.
 
The individual will be expected to use both a reactive and proactive method of approach to the provision of risk based auditing.

 

The Role 

  • Conducting unannounced, requested and remote operational audits and provide reports accordingly with a full action plan.
  • Utilise financial reports from a variety of systems including EPoS information to review performance and provide detailed reconciliation of an outlets financial position.
  • Establish and manage first class business relationships with Area Operations Managers and supporting other key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance within the estate to company policies, procedures and operations manuals.
  • Supporting other internal teams with associated project work and developing robust processes.
  • Liaison with the Police and other government agencies on instances of fraud / theft.
  • Reviewing and recommending processes and controls to mitigate risk.
  • Delivering a number of training programs and team inductions to provide loss prevention advice.

The Ideal Candidate

  •  Experience in an audit or loss prevention role is desired.
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal, with a clear and concise approach.
  • Strong investigatory skills and analytical ability.
  • Strong organisational skills with a level-headed manner.
  • Knowledge of EPoS and revenue management systems used within Marston’s would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to deal with potentially difficult and challenging situations.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Confidential & professional.
  • Strong level of MS Excel understanding.
  • Good standard of other Microsoft Office applications.
  • A full UK driving licence.
