Due to a promotion within the department we are looking to recruit an experienced individual who can assist and support the Payroll team with their daily duties.

This role is permanent, full time position based in Wolverhampton, reporting to the Payroll Manager.

Could you?

  • Take responsibility for the maintenance and integrity of all payroll data
  • Be responsible for ensuring all data is input and checked on a timely basis
  • Administer and run weekly, Bi weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Liaise with all relevant internal and external departments
  • Deal with queries from all Web based bureau customers
  • Deliver a first class service
  • Ensure adherence to payroll policies, including statutory changes, as required
  • Complete manual tax/NHI calculations, when required
  • Maintain employee data records

Are you?

  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills
  • Outgoing and confident with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Able to work under pressure, to strict deadlines and with the minimum of direct supervision
  • Someone with excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to use initiative in dealing with customer enquiries and problems
  • Computer literate, with experience of using Excel and Word
  • Someone who has worked within a busy office environment
  • Able to maintain confidentiality in all duties associated with this role, and able to deal with issues tactfully and in a diplomatic manner
  • Knowledgeable about payroll routines including PAYE/NI
  • Flexible and someone who enjoys working as part of a close knit team
